About BS500 Parts

Wacker BS500 Rammer Parts — OEM Replacement for BS500, BS500oi, and BS50-Series Jumping Jacks

The Wacker Neuson BS500 is a light-duty jumping jack tamper built for trench compaction, footing sub-bases, and tight-access cohesive soil work. It's widely used in landscaping, utility installation, and concrete prep. Despite being lighter than the BS600 and BS700, the BS500 takes the same pounding — and needs the same quality OEM replacement parts to stay reliable. DanseUSA has been an authorized Wacker Neuson dealer since 1981 and stocks a complete range of genuine BS500 repair parts.

BS500 Model Variants — Which One Do You Have?

Wacker has produced several versions of the BS500 platform. Check your data plate for the exact model and item number:

  • BS500 — original 2-stroke model with pre-mixed fuel
  • BS500oi — oil injection model; requires separate 2-stroke oil, not pre-mixed
  • BS50-2 — compact 2-stroke jumping jack, 50kg class (also known as the "BS50" rammer)
  • BS50-2i — improved BS50-2 with fuel injection
  • BS50-4 / BS50-4As — 4-stroke jumping jack, Honda or Wacker engine, EPA-compliant

Common BS500 Replacement Parts

  • Bellows & bellow kits — top wear item on the BS500; seal the drive shaft from soil and moisture contamination
  • Tamping shoe / foot plate — OEM hardened base shoe for correct compaction energy distribution
  • Carburetor (Walbro or Zama) — complete OEM carb replacement for hard-start and no-start BS500 and BS50-2 models
  • Carburetor rebuild kit — diaphragm, inlet needle, and gasket set for BS500 carb repair
  • Air filter & pre-filter — standard 25-hour service item; critical in sandy trench environments
  • Fuel tank & fuel cap — cracked tanks from fuel oxidation or physical impact
  • Spark plug — OEM heat-range plug for BS500 and BS50-2 2-stroke engines
  • Recoil starter & pull rope assembly — complete starter for BS500; rewind spring and rope available separately
  • Ignition coil — OEM coil for BS500 no-spark diagnosis
  • Drive springs — maintain correct impact frequency on the BS500 tamping mechanism
  • Engine gasket set — crank and cylinder gaskets for BS500 overhaul
  • Handles (upper & lower) — replacement handle tubes and hardware for BS500
  • Maintenance kit — air filter, pre-filter, spark plug, and oil for scheduled BS500 / BS50-2 service

BS500 vs BS600 Parts Compatibility

Some consumable parts — particularly air filters, spark plugs, and certain fasteners — are shared between the BS500 and BS600. However, engine components, bellows, tamping shoes, and carburetors are model-specific. Never assume a BS600 part fits a BS500 without confirming via model and serial number. When in doubt, email us your data plate info and we'll confirm the correct OEM part number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this diagram?

Match the Ref. # on the diagram to the row in the parts list at the right. Click a part name to see details, price, and add it to cart.

How do I make sure a part fits my machine?

Confirm your model/series and serial number range on the product page. Many manufacturers have serial breaks, when in doubt, share your model and serial with us and we’ll verify fit.

What do the Ref. numbers and quantities mean?

The Ref. # points to the callout on the drawing. Qty shows how many of that item your machine uses. Parts are sold individually unless noted as a kit.

Are these genuine parts?

Yes, we supply genuine OEM parts for all our brands. If a part has an approved replacement, we ship the latest superseded revision

Why does my original part number look different?

Manufacturers often supersede numbers. Our pages list the current orderable number and show older numbers in the description when available. Your old number will cross-reference to the correct part.

I can’t find a part in this diagram, can you still get it?

Yes. Some items are not pictured or are shared with other assemblies. Send us the model, serial, and a description (or photo) and we’ll locate it.

Is there a warranty on these parts?

Yes. DanseUSA passes the manufacturer’s warranty to you. Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 30 days from the purchase date, in line with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. Terms can vary by brand; the product page reflects the applicable policy. If a claim is needed, we’ll help coordinate with the manufacturer.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, most new, uninstalled items can be returned under our standard policy. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for eligibility, timeframes, and any exceptions.
