About BS600 Parts

Wacker BS600 Jumping Jack Rammer Parts — OEM Replacement for BS600 & BS600oi

The Wacker Neuson BS600 is the most widely used jumping jack rammer in North America — and for good reason. Its proven 2-stroke engine, reliable bellow drive, and compact geometry make it the go-to trench tamper for utility contractors, excavation crews, and equipment rental fleets from coast to coast. When your BS600 needs parts, DanseUSA is your authorized OEM source. We have stocked Wacker Neuson parts since 1981 and carry a deep inventory of genuine BS600 components — not aftermarket copies.

The BS600 is also sold and referenced under the names BS 600, BS-600, Wacker 600 jumping jack, Wacker 600 rammer, and Wacker 600 tamper. If you're looking for parts for any of these, you're in the right place.

BS600 vs BS600oi — What's the Difference?

The BS600oi (oil injection) is a newer version of the classic BS600, featuring automatic oil injection for the 2-stroke engine, which eliminates the need to pre-mix fuel and oil. Many internal engine parts are different between these two models. Always confirm your exact model number and serial number before ordering engine components.

Most Commonly Replaced Wacker BS600 Parts

  • Bellows (bellow assembly) — the #1 wear item on the BS600; OEM rubber bellows prevent crankcase contamination and protect the drive shaft
  • Tamping shoe / base plate — BS600 shoe wears down with every impact; OEM hardened steel for proper compaction performance
  • Carburetor (complete) — gummed-up Walbro or Zama carb is the most common reason a BS600 won't start or runs rough; we carry complete OEM replacement carburetors
  • Carburetor rebuild kit — diaphragm, needle valve, and gasket kit for BS600 carb restoration
  • Air filter & pre-filter set — replace every 25 hours on the BS600; trench dust will destroy an engine that runs on a clogged filter
  • Fuel tank assembly — cracked or leaking fuel tank from ethanol-blend fuel or physical impact
  • Fuel line & fuel filter — hardened or cracked fuel lines cause rich/lean running and hard starts
  • Recoil starter assembly — complete starter housing, pull rope, and rewind spring for BS600
  • Spark plug (Champion or NGK) — correct heat-range plug for the BS600 2-stroke engine
  • Ignition coil / ignition module — BS600 no-start or intermittent spark diagnosis; OEM coil for consistent ignition
  • Drive spring assembly — worn or broken drive springs reduce impact energy and compaction effectiveness
  • Engine gasket set — complete cylinder and crank gasket set for BS600 top-end or full engine rebuild
  • Piston, rings & cylinder kit — cylinder kit for complete BS600 engine overhaul on high-hour units
  • Connecting rod — OEM BS600 connecting rod for crankshaft and piston replacement
  • Handle assembly (upper & lower) — bent or cracked handles from drops and transport; genuine Wacker handle tubes
  • Vibration dampeners / rubber mounts — isolate operator from excessive hand-arm vibration
  • Maintenance kit (air filter + pre-filter + spark plug + ramming oil) — all-in-one 25-hour or 50-hour service kit for BS600 and BS600oi

BS600 Serial Number Breaks — Why They Matter

The BS600 has been in production for decades, and Wacker Neuson has made multiple internal revisions across production runs. Several key parts — particularly the carburetor, bellow kit, and starter assembly — differ between early-production and late-production serial ranges. Before ordering any BS600 part, note your model number, item number (e.g., 0007591), and serial number from the data plate on the machine. If you're unsure whether a part fits your specific BS600 serial range, email us or call before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this diagram?

Match the Ref. # on the diagram to the row in the parts list at the right. Click a part name to see details, price, and add it to cart.

How do I make sure a part fits my machine?

Confirm your model/series and serial number range on the product page. Many manufacturers have serial breaks, when in doubt, share your model and serial with us and we’ll verify fit.

What do the Ref. numbers and quantities mean?

The Ref. # points to the callout on the drawing. Qty shows how many of that item your machine uses. Parts are sold individually unless noted as a kit.

Are these genuine parts?

Yes, we supply genuine OEM parts for all our brands. If a part has an approved replacement, we ship the latest superseded revision

Why does my original part number look different?

Manufacturers often supersede numbers. Our pages list the current orderable number and show older numbers in the description when available. Your old number will cross-reference to the correct part.

I can’t find a part in this diagram, can you still get it?

Yes. Some items are not pictured or are shared with other assemblies. Send us the model, serial, and a description (or photo) and we’ll locate it.

Is there a warranty on these parts?

Yes. DanseUSA passes the manufacturer’s warranty to you. Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 30 days from the purchase date, in line with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. Terms can vary by brand; the product page reflects the applicable policy. If a claim is needed, we’ll help coordinate with the manufacturer.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, most new, uninstalled items can be returned under our standard policy. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for eligibility, timeframes, and any exceptions.
