Description

The MTX50HD is the lightest 4-cycle rammer in Multiquip's MTX series — 129 lbs of operating weight, Honda GX100 power, 2,316 lbf of impact force, and the same 10.4-inch shoe as its bigger MTX60HD sibling. Utility contractors and landscapers reach for it specifically because it gets into trenches and footings that heavier rammers can't navigate. But that handling advantage cuts both ways: an MTX50HD spends more of its life on tight, awkward jobs where the operator's hand is constantly on the throttle. The combination lever is the single most-touched control on the machine — and the first to wear out.

Multiquip part 366900032 is the complete factory replacement: the lever body, throttle wire, fuel cock, stop switch, slider, end cap, wire cap, all four tapping screws, both o-rings, and the bolt-and-washer hardware kit. You pull the failed unit, drop in the new one, route the wire, and you're back compacting in under 30 minutes — no salvaging components from the worn assembly, no parts-store runs for screws that don't quite match.

Why MTX50HD operators replace this part

On a lightweight rammer that lives in tight cuts, three failure modes show up first:

  1. Throttle wire fray at the inner casing where the operator's grip pulls thousands of times per shift. Once the inner cable starts to fray, the throttle response gets sticky, then unpredictable.
  2. Stop switch contamination from dust ingress — the MTX50HD's cyclonic air cleaner does its job for the engine, but the throttle housing sees the same job-site dust and grit that eventually shorts the kill switch.
  3. Slider binding after the lever housing takes a hit during transport — a cracked or contaminated slider means the operator can't hold a steady throttle position, which beats up the clutch springs.

The 366900032 kit replaces all three failure points in a single part number.

Installation note

The MTX50HD throttle housing mounts to the same engine flange as the MTX60HD and MTX70HD — no model-specific brackets. Before installing, verify the Honda engine on your unit is a GX100-series. The MTX-Series rammers running the newer GXR120 engine (MTX70HDR, MTX80HDR) use a different control linkage and this part will not fit. Transit damage

Limited Warranty

Coverage

DanseUSA passes through the manufacturer’s warranty to the customer, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 30 days from the date of purchase, in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty policy.

Exclusions

Misuse, improper installation, modification, neglect, or any condition the manufacturer deems outside normal use voids this warranty.

Manufacturer supersession

If the OEM offers a longer warranty, their terms replace ours. We’ll help you file the claim.

Liability limits

DanseUSA is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including labor, downtime, or lost profits. DanseUSA shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care, or misapplication of products.

Filing a claim

  • RGA required: No warranty returns will be accepted without a return authorization (RGA) number.
  • Report defects: Defective items must be reported within 10 days of delivery or discovery. We recommend filing immediately to ensure manufacturer assistance.
  • What to include: Order number, photos, and a description of the issue.
  • Return timing: Return the part within 7 days of claim approval using the label we provide. Failure to return within 7 days may be subject to warranty forfeiture.

Return window

You may return most items within 10 days of the date of purchase if they are unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging.

Two outcomes

  • Our mistake (wrong item shipped or mislabeled): You receive a pre-paid return label and a 100% refund, including original outbound shipping.
  • Customer mistake or change of mind (ordered the wrong part, fit not confirmed, or no longer needed): A 15% restocking fee applies, and you pay the return freight (or we deduct our label cost from the refund).

How to start a return

  1. Contact [email protected] or call us for an RGA number within the 10-day window.
  2. We’ll reply within 1–2 business days with instructions.
  3. Write the RGA on the box and ship it back. Place the provided return label over the original shipping label and reseal the box appropriately.
  4. After inspection, refunds appear on your original payment method within 7–10 business days.
