About LT 5005 Compaction Rammer parts

Genuine Husqvarna LT 5005 Rammer Parts

The Husqvarna LT 5005 is a petrol-driven jumping jack rammer engineered for tight-trench compaction where larger rammers can't fit. Powered by the four-stroke Honda GXR 120 and available in 6-inch (153 mm) or 9-inch (230 mm) foot configurations, the LT 5005 delivers 54 mm of amplitude at 11.9 Hz — enough force to compact granular soils in confined utility work, footings, sidewalks, and small backfill jobs while staying maneuverable in cuts where a 9005 or 8005 would be overkill.

DanseUSA stocks the complete OEM parts catalog for the LT 5005 — service kits, rammer feet, repair kits, hoods, clutches, and every routine wear part Husqvarna releases for this platform. We've been an authorized construction equipment parts dealer since 1981, and every part on this page ships in genuine Husqvarna packaging.

Retrofit Hood Kit — Service Bulletin B3210026A-07

The original plastic cover and threaded-knob hood retainer used on early HV-series LT 5005 rammers has been discontinued. Husqvarna identified a recurring failure mode: vibration during operation loosens the knob if it isn't fully ratcheted, which fatigues and eventually breaks the M6 mounting screw on the air filter box. A warning decal was tried and didn't solve it.

Old Kit (Discontinued) Replacement
595276101 — Plastic Cover Complete (HV) 531043301 — Retrofit Kit, Filter Box with Cover Complete

The new kit replaces the entire mounting system with a rubber latch that can't be partially seated. The kit includes:

  • Filter box (595 36 76-02)
  • Hood / Cover LT (599 99 52-01)
  • LATCH LG 504 (594 19 20-01)
  • Hood brackets (×2 + ×1)
  • Flap vane, evacuator valves (×2), gasket
  • Air filter (594 16 87-01)
  • All replacement hardware and decals

Assembly instructions ship inside the box. If you're unsure whether your LT 5005 has the old knob design or the new latch, email us your serial number and we'll confirm before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Husqvarna LT 5005 and LT 6005 rammers?

The LT 5005 and LT 6005 share the same Honda GXR 120 engine and 11.9 Hz vibration frequency, but the LT 6005 has a higher amplitude (67.7 mm vs 54 mm), which means more impact force per blow for deeper lifts and harder soils. The LT 6005 also offers an 11-inch foot for wider coverage, while the LT 5005 maxes out at a 9-inch foot and is also available in a 6-inch configuration for tight trenches. Operating weights run 61–62 kg for the LT 5005 and 69–70 kg for the LT 6005.

Are parts interchangeable between the LT 5005 and LT 6005?

Most wear parts cross over: air filter (594 16 87-01), fuel filter (594 19 29-01), one-year service kit (594 21 45-02), centrifugal clutch (594 16 17-01), starter rope, hood complete, air filter housing, shock absorber repair kit, and transmission repair kit (594 65 51-01). The parts that are NOT interchangeable are the spring unit repair kit (594 65 71-01 for LT 5005, 594 65 52-01 for LT 6005) and foot service components — the LT 5005 uses complete foot kits in 6 or 9 inch sizes, while the LT 6005 uses foot repair kits in 9 or 11 inch sizes.

The hood on my LT 5005 or LT 6005 keeps coming loose and the screw broke. What do I order?"

This is the failure mode addressed in Husqvarna Service Bulletin B3210026A-07. The original Plastic Cover Complete (P/N 595276101) has been discontinued and replaced by Retrofit Kit P/N 531043301 — Filter Box with Cover Complete. The new kit redesigns the mounting around a rubber latch that can't be partially seated. It includes the filter box, hood, latch, brackets, gasket, evacuator valves, replacement air filter, and all hardware. This kit is the only path forward if your machine still has the older knob design.

How do I identify which exact LT rammer I own?

The type plate is beside the air filter housing and lists the article number. LT 5005: 967854601 (9-in foot) or 967854602 (6-in foot). LT 6005: 967854501 (9-in standard), 967854502 (11-in standard), 967854503 (LT 6005H high-altitude), or 967926202 (China-market 11-in). Include this number on every parts order — especially when buying spring unit kits or foot repair kits, which are model-specific.

How do I use this diagram?

Match the Ref. # on the diagram to the row in the parts list at the right. Click a part name to see details, price, and add it to cart.

How do I make sure a part fits my machine?

Confirm your model/series and serial number range on the product page. Many manufacturers have serial breaks, when in doubt, share your model and serial with us and we’ll verify fit.

What do the Ref. numbers and quantities mean?

The Ref. # points to the callout on the drawing. Qty shows how many of that item your machine uses. Parts are sold individually unless noted as a kit.

Are these genuine parts?

Yes, we supply genuine OEM parts for all our brands. If a part has an approved replacement, we ship the latest superseded revision

What engine oil and rammer leg oil do the LT 5005 and LT 6005 use?

Both models use SAE 10W-30, API Class SJ in both the engine and the rammer leg. Engine oil capacity is 0.3 L on both rammers. The LT 5005 rammer leg holds 0.6 L; the LT 6005 rammer leg holds 0.9 L. Fuel is unleaded gasoline with a maximum 10% ethanol content. Replace engine oil after 20 hours then every 100 hours; replace rammer leg oil after 20 hours then yearly or every 500 hours.

Which rammer foot fits my LT 5005 or LT 6005?

LT 5005 uses complete foot kits — 594 76 00-01 for the 6-inch (150 mm) and 594 19 35-01 for the 9-inch (230 mm). LT 6005 uses foot repair kits — 596 76 48-01 for the 9-inch (230 mm) and 594 21 14-01 for the 11-inch (280 mm). The two product families don't cross over: an LT 5005 foot kit will not fit an LT 6005.

What is the spring unit piston nut torque on the LT 5005 versus the LT 6005?

The LT 5005 spring unit piston nut torques to 117 Nm. The LT 6005 and LT 6005H torque to 154 Nm — a 32% higher value reflecting the heavier spring unit and higher amplitude. Using the wrong torque will either fail to secure the assembly or damage threads and piston rod. Other torques are shared: rammer shoe M12 bolts 78 Nm, engine mount bolts 45 Nm, rammer shoe steel plate M8 bolts 15 Nm, bellows clamps 8.4 Nm.

What's different about the LT 6005H high-altitude variant?

The LT 6005H (article 967854503) is built for elevations where standard carbureted engines lose power. It uses a Honda Standard engine with high-altitude carburetion instead of the Honda GXR 120 RT KRDP. Most service parts are shared with the standard LT 6005, including the 11-inch foot repair kit (594 21 14-01), spring unit kit (594 65 52-01), transmission kit, hood, and routine wear items. Engine-specific service items follow the high-altitude Honda manual rather than the standard GXR 120 manual.

Why does my original part number look different?

Manufacturers often supersede numbers. Our pages list the current orderable number and show older numbers in the description when available. Your old number will cross-reference to the correct part.

I can’t find a part in this diagram, can you still get it?

Yes. Some items are not pictured or are shared with other assemblies. Send us the model, serial, and a description (or photo) and we’ll locate it.

Is there a warranty on these parts?

Yes. DanseUSA passes the manufacturer’s warranty to you. Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 30 days from the purchase date, in line with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. Terms can vary by brand; the product page reflects the applicable policy. If a claim is needed, we’ll help coordinate with the manufacturer.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, most new, uninstalled items can be returned under our standard policy. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for eligibility, timeframes, and any exceptions.
