About MTX60HD Jumping Jack Rammer Parts by Multiquip Mikasa

Genuine OEM Parts for the Multiquip Mikasa MTX60HD Tamping Rammer

The Multiquip Mikasa MTX60HD is the workhorse of the cohesive-soil compaction trade — the rammer pipeline crews, utility contractors, and municipal road crews reach for when they need to compact backfill in a 12-inch trench at full impact force. Powered by the Honda GX100RTKRBF four-stroke overhead-camshaft gasoline engine and engineered around a laminated-wood-and-tempered-steel foot, the MTX60HD delivers 3,060 lbf (13.6 kN) of impact force at up to 695 blows per minute with an operating weight of just 141 lbs.

When yours stops jumping, leaks oil from the bellows, or won't start on a cold morning, downtime costs more than the part. DanseUSA stocks the complete Multiquip OEM parts catalog for the MTX60HD — every component called out in Parts Manual Revision #11 (01/06/25), from the smallest O-ring on the carburetor to the full clutch assembly. We've been an authorized construction-equipment parts dealer since 1981, and every part on this page ships in genuine Multiquip packaging with the matching Multiquip part number on the label.

What MTX60HD Are You Servicing?

This page covers all production years of the Multiquip MTX60HD with the Honda GX100RTKRBF engine. The MTX60HD shares many wear parts with the larger MTX70HD and MTX80HD platforms, but the engine, foot assembly (265 × 340 mm shoe), and bellows clamps are unique to the 60HD — always confirm the model and engine type stamped on the serial plate before ordering.

MTX60HD Parts by Major Assembly

The MTX60HD parts manual organizes the machine into twelve major assemblies. Use this as your map when diagnosing a failure — the symptom usually points directly to the assembly.

Crankcase and Engine Assembly

The mechanical heart of the rammer. Houses the crankshaft (368347270), piston rod (368347290), connecting rod (368347250), pinion drum (368347410), engine flange (368217640), shock absorber bracket (368347490), and the clutch assembly (366348550) that engages the rammer foot when engine speed crosses the centrifugal threshold. Air cleaner assembly (366900010) with primary element 366010070 and secondary element 366010080 mounts here. Wire harness 368461280 routes through this assembly.

Guide Cylinder Assembly

The compaction column. Includes piston pin (368461210), piston rod (368347290), main springs (368461270), spring cylinder (368347281), foot plate (368217710), cylinder guide (368217720), bellows (368346180 — the orange one), bellows clamps 131D (368347520) and 149D (368347530), oil gauge sight glass (366460300), and all O-rings (G-80, G-85, G-115, G-130, P-80). When the bellows leaks oil or the spring fatigues, this is where you order.

Foot Assembly (362910150 — 265W M4B)

The 10.4-inch business end. Includes the foot housing, lift handle (363343390), foot cover (368347460), and the seven square-neck bolts (10×55 — 009110036) plus seven nylon nuts (M10 — 022711012) and lock washers that secure the laminated wood-and-steel foot pad. When the wood splits or the bolts strip, you typically replace the foot assembly as a unit.

Fuel Tank and Handle Assembly

The operator-facing controls. Shock absorbers (368347630 × 2), handle (368119572), fuel tank (366120250), fuel tank cap assembly (366350460), fuel tank strainer (954406010 — #110), all fuel hoses and clamps, in-line fuel filter (16910Z4ES21), the tach/hour meter (955010311) with curl cord (955010305) and meter finisher (366345620), the rollers (366217170 × 2 in roller assembly 366910030), and the EPA-compliant return hose (959028301). This is the assembly EPA evaporative regulations changed — the cup-and-packing set (366900170) is the maintenance-rebuild kit for the filter holder.

Combination Lever Assembly

The throttle/stop control. Available with throttle wire (366900032) or without throttle wire (956200110). Includes the fuel cock (366349430), lever (366010310), slider (366010190), end cap (366010200), wire cap (366010210), bolt-and-washer set (366010220), stop switch (366010320), throttle wire (956100062), and all O-rings. When the operator's throttle response gets sloppy or the stop switch fails, this assembly fixes it.

MTX60HD Maintenance Schedule — Buy What You'll Need, When You'll Need It

Multiquip's official MTX60HD maintenance schedule (Operation Manual Rev. #10, Page 18) tells you exactly which parts to replace on which interval. Stock the right consumables on the truck and you turn unscheduled downtime into 5-minute roadside service.

Interval Service Item Multiquip Part No.
Daily Inspect & clean primary air cleaner element 366010070
Daily Check spring box and bellows for oil leaks Bellows 368346180
Every 50 hours Inspect/replace in-line fuel filter 16910Z4ES21
Every 50 hours Clean spark plug, gap to 0.024–0.028 in (0.6–0.7 mm) 9805655777
Every 80 – 100 hours Wash & re-oil primary air cleaner element 366010070
Every 200 hours Drain & refill bellows oil bath (10W-30 SE/SF, 0.65 L) (oil only)
First 50 hours Break-in oil change for bellows (oil only)
Every 6 months Clean fuel tank with solvent (cleaning service)
Every 6 months Inspect/clean fuel tank strainer 954406010
Every 2 years Replace fuel line even if no visible damage Hose 959328402 / 959328403
Long-term storage Drain fuel from tank and hose, replace lubrication oil (consumables)

Order the bellows oil bath as 10W-30 SE, SF or higher grade — 0.69 quarts (0.65 liters) per change. Bring the level to the midpoint of the sight glass, not the top — overfilling the bellows is the most common installation mistake on this machine and will cause the foot to jump erratically.

Why Genuine OEM Multiquip Parts Matter on a Tamping Rammer

A jumping jack rammer experiences impact forces that no other piece of light construction equipment sees — 3,060 lbf, 695 times per minute, eleven hours a shift. A clutch spring that's 5% out of spec doesn't just wear faster; it imbalances the entire compaction column, accelerates wear on the spring cylinder, and shortens the bellows life by a third. Aftermarket "compatible" parts almost always change the spring rate, the bolt grade, or the seal compound — savings on the part, paid back in shop hours within the year.

DanseUSA ships Multiquip OEM parts in original Multiquip packaging, with the matching Multiquip part number on the label, sourced through authorized Multiquip supply channels since 1981. Using genuine parts also keeps your manufacturer warranty intact — Multiquip will void coverage on a warranty claim where aftermarket parts caused or contributed to the failure.
